Not a stutter but my birthday 11/03 (March 11) is today in Anchorage,
AK where I was born at 0449 and yesterday here in Auckland. So I’ll celebrate twice as hard or easy as
the adjectives fit.
We are expecting a cyclone to form up over the north of the
northern island and hope for rain this coming weekend. We’ve have marvelous down pours, usually at night, which
trounced the metal roof and made me feel safe and secure indoors. But there is an undeclared drought in existence
now for the north of Auckland. In ’11 we
were flying from the Cook Islands to Auckland and were delayed a day or so
because of a cyclone which, according the news reports then, caused severe wind shears
at the airport. Would love to see what
the wind will do to our placid bay. Will
take pictures.
Placidity and good vegetarian food we found at the East
Tamaki Buddhist Temple/Monastery. It was
built by Chinese people from Taiwan.
Stepping over the embankment into the courtyard was a quick trip into
many of the Asian cities we have visited.
We plan to attend the 10am meditation series every Saturday morning
there.
Off to walk around the neighborhood with a neighbor. Life is good!
